Here is Cameron’s health and fitness story…

“I’ve always been drawn to adrenaline-fuelled challenges whether that’s through combat sports, skydiving, or scuba diving and I carry that same energy into my work as a physiotherapist. I’m passionate about helping people get back to the activities that make them feel alive, confident, and strong.

I was one of only two students selected to represent GCU’s Physiotherapy programme internationally, completing a placement at a private clinic in Brisbane, Australia. I fell in love with the food, the culture, and (unfortunately for my skin) the Australian sun. I even ran the Gold Coast Marathon while I was there, testing both my endurance and my sun cream (let’s just say I was the first lobster across the finish line).

During the long summer breaks while studying Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, I took every opportunity to travel and explore new parts of the world. At 18, I spent several weeks travelling through Italy, staying in a mix of hotels, hostels, and local homes – meeting incredible people and developing a love for adventure.

Boxing was my first love, followed closely by MMA, and now Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) has taken the top spot. I began training and competing in boxing from the age of 14 to 18 before moving into MMA -where I quickly discovered how fragile I was on the ground! That humbling experience sparked my passion for BJJ (and gave me a new respect for anyone capable of choking me out with ease).”
